I keep losing money selling on eBay....... what am I doing wrong?

I do no reserve starting at a penny and end the auction around 6-9pm EDT.

I dont spend extra money on bold, subtitles etc.

And I always get 25-50% less than other sellers for the same stuff!!!!

Not to mention I always get jackazzez that bid $1 max for something worth over $100.

I either break even or lose money after eBay and Paypal take their share.

I am about to sell some of my expensive stuff like Xbox 360, iPhone 3G, Sony DVD camcorder, etc so I am nervous they may bid $50 for each or something. I need to get $100-200 for each.

So are there any insider tips??

Any tips or recommendations? I'm probably going to get the 3G. Is it bad to insert a SIM card? What does that mean, inserting a SIM card? I think I need everything new, since I just moved.

iPhone 4 "Wifi Works Great" but "Mobile Internet" or "cellular data network" doesn't? :(?

This is my first time on here, so not sure what to expect, but heres my situation.

I have a new iPhone 4, The guy set it up in the Vodafone shop, and showed my Maps and everything seemed fine.
I got home, instantly hooked up to our Wifi, and everythings great.

However, i went to work today, and unfortunately there is no Wifi to connect to, so i figured i'd use the "mobile internet" or "cellular data network".

While at work, (not in a 3G area) i have the "E" symbol which i believe is the EDGE Network. However could not use the the google maps, facebook app or safari.
I thought it may have been bad signal.

Once i got home, i decided to test it again, so disconnected from the available Wifi, and the "o" appeared, which i believe is GPRS Network.
I had the same problem, no maps, facebook or safari, and the page reads "safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding"!

Although running 10.4.11, I have the lastest update as the guy in the shop activated it for me and i have since backed it up and synced it with my bros macbook which i think is running 10.5.8 or something newer.

Also, it seems i can not MMS photo messages?!?!

Any advice/tips and your thoughts would be appreciated.
Do i not need to ring Vodafone Customer Services and ask them to enable GPRS/EDGE?

How to use my iPhone 4 abroad?

I have recently bought the iPhone 4 on an O2 contract and am going to the USA in a few days time.
I would like to know what I can do to minimise my spending when abroad?
I would like to check my emails every now and again, but not if this is going to cost me. I assume using 3G will charge me while abroad?
Also, I read online that text messages will be charged at 4 times the standard rate. My contract includes unlimited free messages, so does this mean that my messages will be free?

Please advise if you ahve any tips for minimising my charges abroad?

$30 credit gone in 2 days (iPhone)?

I just got a new Prepaid 3g SIM card for my iPhone 2 days ago.
I only made 2 phone calls which were no longer than 2 minutes each on it but I managed to run out of $30 credit.
I think it's from the 3g but I never deliberately used the internet (not including wifi).

Can anyone confirm what is happening and/or give me tips on how to try avoid it?

I would like to buy a 3G phone (maybe a Blackberry Storm or iPhone).

As we all know, it is much cheaper to buy it in the US than Turkey. So, I asked a friend to bring one in her suitcase for me.

I actually have very little knowledge about EVERY stage of the process. So, it would be great if you can give me tips on all of them:

1. Where should I buy it from (eBay, or some other site)? Remember, I am shipping it to a US address and then my friend is bringing it in her suitcase. So, I can buy it from a US website.
2. Will there be any potential problems with bringing the iPhone?
3. Will there by any potential problems with bringing the BlackBerry?

iphone initializes the update, gets ready for the backup, sits waiting for about half an hour then goes to install. wont get past 1% though been like this for 20 mins. what do i do? any tips? anyone else having troubles with it?

iPhone stopped working all of the sudden?

I have second generation iPhone 3G and it stopped working all of the sudden. it has never been dropped in water or been in out of the normal conditions and its only been dropped one or two times but nothing recent. i was trying to unlock it when the touch screen stopped working and now it is stuck on the "slide to turn off" screen. the home button and the volume buttons work but the touch screen and the top turn off button do not do anything at all. can anyone tell me how to reset it or fix it and if not any other tips on what i should do? any help is appreciated!

How can I fix my iPhone 3g?

I recently replaced a broken lcd screen, and everything was working fine. Before and after the repair the touchscreen was working with no problems.

I dropped it, and the lcd kept flashing: off, then a second of white, then off again.

All buttons are responsive. (it vibrates when put on silent/ makes camera noise when home button and lock are pressed)

The LCD isn't lighting up at all and the touchscreen is totally unresponsive (cant be unlocked etc)

I tried opening and reconnecting the 3 ribbons between the front panel but i couldn't produce any change.

Any helpful tips or ideas?
Replacing the lcd probably wouldn't fix it; the touch panel is not connected to the screen and neither are responsive.

It doesn't look like the lcd is broken at all, i think it has something to do with where its connected, but someone with a superior knowledge of iPhone hardware might know better..

I am finally buying an iPhone. I said I would wait until after 3g cuz the 3g was garbage. I was a Customer Service Rep. for ATT on the GoPhone... yup u dial 611 you talked to me. Just to use apple products as an example, the iphone can only go for about 3 hours on wifi or 3g, yet the laptop can go for 8 hours ish with wifi on all the time.

There are plenty of "tips" on how to save battery life, but can anyone explain why certain things use so much more?

Lowering screen brightness to uncomfortably dim for example, usually only squeezes out a hour or so, yet I thought that screen brightness was the major energy waster, like how videos played for much less time than music.

Now I'm thinking it has to do with workload on the system. Can anyone give some detail?

Both my iphone 2g (8GB) and iphone 3G (16GB) are in very good shape. All buttons and everything like that works perfect. The 2G is scratched a little bit because I had it a long time but its still fine, no cracks and a VERY EXTREMELY small dent. About the size of a pen tip. The 3G has hardly any scratches and NO dents because I just replaced the back a couple months ago. Both can make calls successfully. Or where can I buy an iphone 3GS for like 350 great condition or new.

Pros and cons- AT&T vs. Verizon?

I'm currently an AT&T customer. I would like to purchase a smart phone (unsure of which brand, type or provider yet). My AT&T contract expires in a few months, and I'm considering switching to Verizon because I've heard from many people that AT&T's 3G network doesn't work very well because there is so much traffic on it. However, I have an old ipod that I use all the time, so I would really like to upgrade to an iphone. I also hear that Verizon costs more (on average, month to month).

Has anyone ever swtiched from Verizon to AT&T or back? Any tips? Thanks!
