Is there anyway I can fix my iPhone?

I recently restored my iphone 3g (unlocked + jailbroken iOS 4.0.1) because i couldn't put any songs to it and while it was restoring, it automatically updated after restore. I thought i was no problem at all until when i saw on iTunes where it said " The sim card inserted in this iPhone doesn't appear to be supported" + " Only compatible sim cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone, Please insert the sim card that come with your iPhone". (By the way I got this iphone from ebay and have T-mobile sim card) And right away when i unplugged my usb cord and looked over my iphone, I realize that i can ONLY can go through emergency call.. WOW, i gotta say this is such a FKING bullshiiit. All i did was restoring and my iphone got fked up? LOL

So... I would like to how to fix this if anyone knew and If i go to my t-mobile store, would they able to fix my iPhone?

Question #2:

Will an iPhone 4 3G connection, bought unlocked, work on any (GSM carrier) network (internationally speaking)?

I know that in order to work with 3G data, phones need to access to certain wireless bands, so, my question is, if, regardless of were an iPhone 4 was bought (unlocked, through the Apple store) the phone can actually access all of the bands in which 3G service is transmitted (because yes, in the details page it states like 4 o 5 different bands, but I don't know if it is/has to be limited to a specific band).

For example, SonyEricsson makes different handsets for different parts of the world, and marks them as "a", "i" in the end (i.e. c905a, c905i), stating that it's an "american" or "international" version, and that has to do with the wireless bands that the handset can access, and I'm not sure if it is the same thing with the iPhone.

ok, I know the carrier needs to work in any of the bands that the iPhone has, but, supposing that a carrier in America actually sells iPhones (so, it works with a usable wireless band), will the iPhone be capable of also working with the band of any other carrier that also sells the iPhone in Europe?

Is my iPhone 4 unlocked?

I bought iPhone 4 at a full retail price from a phone store that sells many kinds of unlocked GSM phone. And I am currently using "H2O" as my network carrier. It's basically a prepaid service. However, when I go into the "General" and "About," I see my carrier as "AT&T 7.0". I heard this from my friend saying that there is no unlocked iPhone 4 in the United States right now and every single iPhone 4 out there is tied to AT&T service. However, I am not using AT&T prepaid SIM card and it just works fine. The only problem is that the 3G network doesn't work yet, but the phone store manager said that the 3G service in prepaid SIM cards will be available in September, so I am waiting for that to happen in reality. However, if I bring my iPhone 4 to AT&T to open a new contract, would that work? Was it illegal to buy iPhone like this? I am kinda nervous now about what is going to happen in the future. If I unlock my IPhone 3G to any network, would it work for my 3 mobile network?

I want to use my Sim only offer from 3 mobile and place it in my IPhone 3G, I went to the 3 store and one of the staff told me it won't work (he said only IPhone 3G s and IPhone 4 would work), whereas another staff from another 3 store told me it would, any 3G phone is capable to take their sim which includes IPhone 3G.

Upgrade to a jailbroken iPhone?

I have an iPhone 3G which is NOT jailbroken and is officially unlocked by Apple. I have also bought a used iPhone. Naturally as it comes, I want to copy everything that is stored in the 3G (Contacts, SMS, Music, Camera Photos, Applications, Save Games, and ALL the iPhone Settings intact) to the new 3GS. The only problem I am facing is that the iPhone 3GS is jailbroken.

The 3G hosts the iOS v4.0.2 (which I think I know how to downgrade back to iOS v4.0 if needed).
The 3GS hosts the iOS v4.0.

Should I try to backup everything that I have in the 3G into an iTunes account using a PC and then to restore everything by connecting the 3GS or is this going to LOCK the 3GS and lose Cydia and the ability to try again (probably with some other tactic) ?!

Hello, i just wanted some opinions here. Price doesn't matter, and i don't wan't the new iPhone - im getting bored of my 3G. It just needs these features in a phone.

- Touch screen
- An active App store with some good Apps.
- Good Internet Browser.
- Flash support for video sites like youtube.
- Great camera. (Anything that can capture good quality HD videos and pictures).
- Good Music Player
- Free GPS
- High resolution screen - For a nice, crisp look.
- A nice looking, smooth, user interface (the graphics that the screen shows)
- Good amount of memory (8gb minimum, possibly with card slots)
- Powerful so it won't lag at all!

Is there any way I could get the iPhone and just use it for camera, music, and instead of 3G just have wifi? And of course I wouldn't use it for texting or calling. today i spent most of my time downloading music from one file on a computer to another file on the same computer. i have an iphone 3g and tomorrow i'm getting my new iphone 4. so then the file i used to download music for the iphone 3g has a virus on it that disables me from using the itunes store and i cannot sync it to the computer because of that problem. so now i'm almost done with transfering music to the other file and i was wondering if i plug in my iphone 4 to the new file (with tons of music, music videos, and shows) will it delete everything that i already have in the itunes library? i would be verrrryyyy mad if it deleted everything cause i spent like half the day downloading everything. oh and a couple weeks ago i downloaded a song from the itunes store on my iphone 3g and i was wondering if there was any way that i can get that song to appear in my new itunes library. Oh and is there any way that i can transfer the apps to the new file too? please answer all the questions. i know its a lot but i have posted questions several times throughout the week and still havent seen any answers. please help and thanks in advance :)

I just got my Iphone 4, how does the dataplan work?

How can I tell if I am using my personal wifi connection or the dataplan? If I paid for the lowest dataplan, does that mean I can surf the internet as long as I want and that I just use the plan to download things or does the dataplan get used whenever the internet is activated outsed of my wifi? Does downloading from my home wifi connection like songs from the itunes store, do I still get charged from the dataplan? Should I be worried about accidently using the dataplan instead of my home connection? I've heard of people getting close to 5,000 dollar bills for this. Also, is it possible to turn off access to the 3G internet coverage in settings? If so...what all should I do to JUST use the wifi connection as to not worry about charges. Thanks in advance! I will still might use the dataplan a bit, but mostly want to use the home wifi since that's where I am most.
