Iphone 3G won't Go past the apple logo. :/?

Okay so I was listening to music on dtunes then my music cut off. SO i looked at my screen and it was someone calling me. I tryed to answer it but it wouldn't let me :/ So i figured that it frozed. So i waited like 10 mins and it stilll didn't do anything. So i turnt my phone off and turnt it back on. Then i realized that it would never go past the apple logo and i dont know what to do ://. Then, i left it like it was (with the apple logo one still) and i came back and saw that the apple logo was there but then it would have like the circle like thingy when its respringing.It would be very nice if someone could help me with this issues and help me be able to use my iphone! my firmware is a 3.1.2 and i used blackra1n do jailbreak it.
Will it erase everything? :/ thats the part that i dont wana doo!

I have a iPhone 3G and I plugged it in to my computer to get a quick charge, I left the computer for a while and my cousin a accidentally updated my phone to the iPhone 4 software. Now everything deleted!!!! Contacts, notes, my parents pictures from when they were in Iraq, they're deceased now and those were my only pics. I didn't NOT backup my phone please help me, can I get these back?

I currently have an iPhone 3G, which is unactivated, so it's pretty much like an iPod touch. I got it for my birthday 1 year ago, and it has been jailbroken twice. My birthday is soon, and I was thinking of possibly getting a 3G iPod touch, but I'm not sure. If I got it, it would mainly be for the 3G touches faster speed. My iPhone is getting slower each day, mainly because it's just old. What do you think I should do? Should I downgrade to the 3G touch from the 3G iPhone?
Also, how would I restore it since it's unactivated? How do I avoid it going to the emergency lock screen?

What do I need to use a used iphone 3G?

Hey guys, I'm new to the whole iPhone scene. I've modded several phones including RAZR's, Blackberry's and a couple of HTC phones but finally decided to hop on the band wagon and buy an iphone.

My question is, what do I need to do in order to activate this thing? I am currently using an HTC Fuze on my AT&T contract. Since it is already on a smartphone contract, should I be able to just pop in my sim card and have it work? If not, what will I need to do? Will I have to renew my contract? If so, are there ways around this? (I.E. Jailbreaking and unlocking?) Thanks for the help.

iPhone question about update?

Ok I purchased an iPhone 3G and when I first plugged it into my computer and synced it with iTunes a pop-up appeared saying that there is a newer version of the software version 4.0.1 (I have 3.1.3) My carrier is T-Mobile.

My question is that if I update to the version 4.0.1 will it restore the SIM lock and make T-Mobile unavailable as my carrier?

Well, whenever i try to jailbreak my iphone 3g using blackra1n, my iphone always goes into recovery mode an then i have to reboot. The problem is i have rebooted already and even after i do, the jailbreak hasn't worked. Could someone please tell me how i can stop the recovery mode from happening? I would like to know if there are certain methods i could use to stop this from happening. Thanks, and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Is direct GPS possible for iPhone 3g?

I have a iPhone 3g and am wondering if there is an app or a method of getting direct gps without charges? I do not have a data plan, I bought the phone off a friend who upgraded and I can not yet afford a data plan.
I have a garmin but do not keep it with me unless I know I will need it, I want access to gps for if a friend wants to hangout and I need to find their place.
I'm sure this is possible by 'jailbreaking' but I am unsure about doing that.
